Thompson Trawlers like “On Tapp” were designed and built for the Gulf Coast commercial shrimping and fishing industry and constructed in Titusville, Florida by Thompson Industries. Their seaworthiness and rugged construction are legendary. Realizing that the overall hull design would be an ideal platform for cruising yacht adaptation, Thompson built approximately 100 yachting trawlers modified from the deck up to offer yachting accommodations without sacrificing the strength and rough sea stability of their commercial counterparts. Owners and guests are greeted to a huge, open and bright salon via port or starboard cabin doors. The living space is abundant with ample room for free-standing furnishings. The lower helm seating is adjustable and can be relocated for additional salon access and room. Large windows surround and flood natural lighting into the entire area. There is a desk which can serve as your office space. Moving aft to the master stateroom you will be amazed at its features including a true queen-sized berth, deep hanging lockers, fold out privacy door and vanity. There is a great amount of open area for seating and movement. Forward to starboard is a work/ storage room with a workbench, plenty of space for tools and storage. Across to port, the en suite head is designed with a full tub and shower, size vanity with sink and electric. As you make your way forward of the salon and down to port the galley which extends across the entire beam of the boat. Equipped with a Full upright Kenmore refrigerator/freezer, 3 burner Princess electric stove and oven, sharp microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker you have everything for a extended cruise. A double berth is located in the forepeak offset to port. Wide weather decks allow access to the expansive sundeck and flybridge. There is even a Kenmore washer/dryer combo in the expansive engine room/ utility room
